Welcome to Part Three of the AI-assisted comic of The Rime of the Ancient Mariner. If you’re new to Lore Machine, here is Part I and Part II.
In this installment, a beleaguered crew spots another ship on the horizon. What might be salvation turns out to be a nightmarish phantom ship helmed by a zombie woman and death itself. The crew’s exposure to the two proves fatal. Each sailor collapses, leaving the mariner alone with the ghosts of his fallen shipmates.
Like Part II, I used Speechify for the AI audio from Speechify (really love that British old man robot). In addition to the ocean background, I extended the sound design with some panel-specific background and foreground effects.
