Transform Your Career Into a Multimedia Adventure!
Two weeks ago, Lore Machineβs Director of Natural Language Processing Kutlu Mizrak made a discovery. He was testing Lore Machineβs PDF parser. PDFs make documents convenient to read for everyone, but getting information out of a PDF in an orderly fashion is finicky business. To test the PDF parser, Kutlu used his resume. What came out the other side was a surprisingly coherent storyboard of Kutluβs career and an idea!
What if we could fine-tune a resume synthesis model geared to help job seekers stand out in a crowded market? HR Managers say they are 73% more likely to grant an interview to a candidate with a visually impactful resume. Perhaps Lore Machine could help folks land that job! So we got to work. Hereβs the result:
But Make It Good
The results of Kutluβs resume visualization were good. We cranked the outputs to 11 (aka great) with the following steps:
Each work role, education period and certification was assigned as a βsceneβ in someoneβs career.
Each workplace or educational institution was assigned as a βlocationβ
Character identification was confined to one protagonist - you, the resume owner. While resumes donβt indicate physical characteristics, you can customize in our Character Builder.
Roles are rendered in reverse order so they appear chronological when visualized.
Lastly, we created a lightweight video exporter enabling users to share a slideshow of their career.
Below are some fun results!
